Eco-friendly Sustainable Hemp Products

Asatre (pronounced āh-sūh-tray) began its journey in November of 2019 in Oakland, California by two young entrepreneurs, Ethan Smith and Chyna Barrett. But, where their story truly begins is actually much earlier than that.

Ethan and Chyna decided to leave their homes in Connecticut to pursue something greater, and what better place to take this leap than California. Initially, the idea was to attend Oaksterdam University in Oakland, then return to the east coast with this new found knowledge. But after attending Oaksterdam, and finding a real passion for hemp, they began to work. So, in their small spare bedroom in Oakland, Ethan and Chyna began to create something to help change the way we see clothing, and to show to the world the multitude of uses that hemp offers.

Over the years, we at Asatre have met so many incredible people from all over the world, both clients and customers alike, that continue to help us grow and focus on the products for the future. As we have grown, we relocated to a distribution center in Georgia, as well as bringing on Jody Smith, a co-owner of our business. We have also added Kim, Sam, and Ansley to the Asatre team to help with distribution of products. They play a vital role in shipping out products with care and a personal touch. Asatre plans to continue to hire additional staff to help support this growing company. We are proud to be a part of such a new and impactful industry with so much growth potential.
