At Asatre, we believe that hemp can improve so many aspects of our life. Hemp was reclassified to Agricultural Status, the same as wheat, corn, and cotton. Hemp does not require fertilizer, pesticides, uses minimal water, and is naturally hypoallergenic. As a result, hemp is making a come back in fabrics. From clothing, hats, wallets, belts, and soaps to dog collars, harnesses and leashes, our goal is provide affordable Eco-friendly hemp products. Meet The Team
Ethan Smith
Ethan Smith was born in Connecticut and raised in Vermont. At 20 years old, he moved to California to pursue a long kept dream of becoming an entrepreneur in the cannabis industry. After completing a semester at Oaksterdam University, Ethan dove into the world of hemp fabric and it’s uses which led him to found Asatre.
Chyna Barrett
Chyna Barrett, a native of Connecticut, moved to California at 19 years old with one goal to make a difference. Intrigued by founder, Ethan's, hemp pursuit, Chyna discovered her passion for sustainable fashion and the drive to share the eco-friendly and organic benefits of hemp fabrics.
Jody Kocis Smith
Jody Kocis Smith was raised in a small rural town in Vermont. Graduated from Post University with B.S. in Accounting. She has worked in Accounting, Audit, Finance, Real estate and even SAG/AFTRA actor. Melding her finance, creativity and knowledge of real estate, she flipped 10 properties. Now, she spends much of her time traveling around the world. Her proudest accomplishment is her three children. Helping them pursue their passions while following her dream to make a positive difference in the world.
