Wonderful!

This belt was longer than I expected and just as rough as I expect natural hemp to be. The metal feels smooth and looks shiny. Can I wash this belt in a washing machine? Will the belt get softer after a wash just like how bracelets and necklaces made of hemp become softer after being taken for a swim? The belt smells great out of the package. I wonder if washing would remove the lovely smell. Thank you, and thank the weavers in the Himalayas for making wonderful hemp products.
